2009/07/09

With incredible sadness, but at the same time happiness for each of our friend, it has come time to announce the departure of Johnny (“Mot Dog” or “Muntjac”) Motley from the ranks of Motorhome. We have known him for years as he made his way through the ranks of the Fort Collins music scene. Nothing will ever make us forget the sound of Mot Dog on the drums and the impact he has had on all of our lives. Make sure to catch one of the last Motorhome shows with Motley banging the drums. Good luck with everything you do, Motley.

In other news, the 2009 album of the year, Almost Vegas, is now being sold at all Motorhome shows, including those in Fort Collins. While a CD release party and celebration is still planned, we couldn’t hold out on bringing the love of the new recording to the people of our home town. It all went down when we opened for the Gin Blossoms at the Taste of Fort Collins. Previously, no new CDs would be on sale until the release party. Now, everyone can enjoy the fruits of our efforts.

As we progress through the summer, Motorhome travels on. In August (13-22) we will be touring the Pacific Northwest. Be sure to catch a show if you can. In addition, we could be opening for Cracker at the Aggie in Fort Collins on the 3rd of September. There are preliminary rumors of other opening gigs in Fort Collins in the coming months, so be sure to stay on top of things. You do not want to be the one kid on your block that misses the show of the year.
